DC/DC Converter Testing:

DC / DC CONVERTERS are used to decrease, and in some cases, increase the voltage level from the onboard charger to power headlights, wiper and window motors, fans, and pumps on other EV systems.
GREAT FOR TESTING CONVERTERS BEFORE INSTALLATION. Faulty converters often result in no low-voltage charging systems, 12-volt battery system faults, or poor AC compressor functionality.
PERFORM 0UT-OF-VEHICLE TESTING OF DC / DC CONVERTER BEFORE INSTALLATION OF NEW OR REPAIR CONVERTER. Vehicle coverage includes BYD, BJEV, Changan, Geely, Nissan, and Roewe.
DETECTION/TESTING SCENARIOS: If the DC / DC converter is not operating while on the vehicle, try to start the converter with the Test Run function. With confirmation of correctly performing converter, test DC/DC controller, switches, and lines.

ONBOARD CHARGING TESTING

ONBOARD CHARGERS control the vehicle’s ability to accept the charge from the charger. Faulty 0BCs can result in the vehicle’s inability to charge, slow charging rates, thermodynamic charging, and HV contactor switching issues.
PERFORM OUT-OF-VEHICLE TESTING OF 0BC Vehicle coverage includes BYD, BJEV ChangAn, Geely, and Aion.

DETECTION/TESTING SCENARIOS Remove 0BC from the vehicle to and test on-bench, and test repaired 0BC on-bench before installing on vehicle.
